Ban Rai is the capital of the district of the same name district (amphoe) in the province of Uthai Thani. The district comprises more than half of the province. The Huai Kha Khaeng Wildlife Sanctuary, the grand nature park of Thailand, includes a large part of the district.
In the town, which is very small, there are many, low, government buildings. The city therefore makes the impression of being very spacious. Compared to our previous visit, there are a lot of new buildings.
We have only been there by car.
You can undoubtedly also come by bus, but we don't know how.
There is no train connection, and neither an air connection.
The town consists largely of government buildings, wholesalers and repair companies for
agricultural machinery.
There is almost no nightlife, one is just a few small eateries.
And there is also a market and an increasing number of hotels and resorts.
That's all.
If you want to relax, then you're in the right place.
The area is very beautiful, we know that from earlier visits.
